The Gladiators "Wonder Women" had their first game ever as a new ladies division in the Salt Lake City Gladiators Rugby Club.
Saturday August 5th the Wonder Women went head to head with a Utah Rugby Club ladies team, the Honey Bees. Together they played hard. They played fierce and all in all it was a great time. The support for these ladies was fantastic as friends and family gathered on the field in Alpine.
After everything was said and done, the referees called the game at 24-24. What a great way to start. Sierra McKee was recognized as Back player of the game and Princess Leeah as forward player of the game.
We are excited to bring the community this Women's Rugby team and hope to see more great things. We are planning on another ladies game on Saturday August 21st. Stay tuned for more information!
