Crushed by the Tsunami

On Saturday June 4th, the Salt Lake City Gladiators welcomed the Eastside Tsunami Rugby Club from Oregon in a friendly match. Interactions on the field began that day with local clubs-- West Valley Guerillaz and Utah Saints.

It is always good to allow local teams the opportunities to compete against each other and build the relationships necessary to build STRONG rugby communities. Just like the Strong in GLADIATOR STRONG; the Salt Lake City Gladiator Rugby Club takes major steps in planning and preparations to allow these meets to happen.

Having the Saints and Guerillaz there was a great start to a full morning of rugby. Followed by that local match was the awaited friendly against Tsunami and Gladiators. The talent between the two of them is impeccable. It was a tough, hot day where the Tsunami rode the wave and came out at 39 with Gladiators 14 followed by some great food and visiting.

The Salt Lake Regional Athletic Complex has been great to work with our organization and continually offers fantastic fields, set up and cooperation to allow games to be the best they can be. Jennifer and the rest of the staff there has been great to work with and we hope to work with them more for years to come.
